Location: steeply terraced hillside in the heart of Redwood Valley. Redwood Valleyis
approximately one hour, or 60 miles, directly north of Santa Rosa, in
Mendocino County.

Founded: in 1998 Jennifer and Bob Anderson planted their first vineyard.
Their goal is to make high-quality Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Sauvignon
Blanc wines from grapes grown in Mendocino County

Vineyards: 4 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah in the Redwood Valley sub-appellation of Mendocino Country, California

The name: Cole Bailey is named after Jennifer & Bob’s son, Cole Bailey Anderson, who was born in 1998 during the week that their first vineyard was planted.

Sesquipedalian: a sophistical rhetorician inebriated with the exuberance of his own verbosity. In other words, a poser who uses fancy-pants words when simple ones would do.
